Description
Ocimum tenuiflorum, a tropical species of tulsi or holy basil, is an herbaceous member of the mint family with purple stems and leaves that mature into a magenta color. The leaves smell of peppermint, cloves, licorice and/or lemon. Krishna (Ocimum tenuiflorum) is known for its peppery crisp taste. The plant has dark green to purple leaves, stems, and blossoms. Ocimum tenuiflorum, or Krishna tulsi, is a revered herb in Ayurveda and is commonly drunk as tulsi holy basil tea. Organic Way does not use any additional flavors or artificial additives in any of its herbs.
