Description
Cassia cinnamon is a type of cinnamon. It is prepared from the dried inner bark of a certain evergreen tree. It is the most common type of cinnamon sold in North America. Cassia cinnamon is most commonly used for diabetes. It is also used for prediabetes, gas (flatulence), obesity, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. In food and beverages, cassia cinnamon is used as a flavouring agent.
Our cut and sifted Cassia Cinnamon means that the spice is not sold in whole form, but rather "cut" into smaller pieces and then "sifted" to remove the small pieces and dust that result from the cutting process.
